My son gave me a green bouncy ball to use for fishing. I trimmed it down to look like a dog biscuit. It floats great using it with the controller float and i have caught around 10 carp on that and i plan to catch more.

try looking up FOX Essential Guide To Carp Rigs on you tube. lots of dif rigs including coated braid and very nicely shown.

I found using coated braid as a stiff hair is good (dont strip any). If not then mentioned above is a good way.
