I am looking to use a Chod rig for the first time using beads and sinkers as opposed to leadcore. Can anyone tell me how long on average the hook length should be?

Is this the same as a leadcore leader and is it attached to the mainline the same way? I notice there is a separate thread about attaching leadcore to the mainline but I'm not sure if the Korda safe zone leader is the same.

Does anyone know of any specimen lakes in south east Kent that you can fish weekends without having to book weeks in advance. I have been told that the two specimen lakes at my local, Cottington Lakes, Deal are fully booked every weekend throughout May. It is great to fish midweek, but unfortunately, there is the slight issue of work that gets in the way!!
