I'm sure the carp only take some of these things out of curiosity. Using one on a hook is taking it just too far IMO.

I can believe that.....I've seen carp take discarded dog-ends off the top! My favourite used to be sugar puffs and hubba-bubba gum can score no problem.

Chinese wholesalers where I got some very cheap......and bottles of oyster sauce and fish sauce while I was at it. Its all a bit whiffy, but gives out one hell of a carpy signal.

50p! What a bargain! I found a early edition of CF some time ago in a proper book repository and it was up for double figures. I dithered about it and when I decided to buy it some guy from Lithuania online nipped in and paid about £20 for it. Gutted or what? I really wanted to read it though as it was more like grass roots. I get a bit fed up these days of the old intelligence being dealt another low blow with yet another 'expert' opinion
