  1. Use their bait combined with their pellet and maize. It goes in every week and the carp readily accept it.
  2. Do it whilst they still have spaces mate. I have been there 4 times and the whole set up is superb. Dave, lynn and matthew are great hosts, the food and service is great. The fishing is excellent aswell. I have had lots of fish to just under 50IB, some are real stunners aswell. you can expect lots of 20's and 30's with some proper lumps mixed in. Theres also a few cats to 120+ that like the house pellet. Go for it.
  3. Standard tactics, hi vis pop ups work well, use plently of bait and keep it going in.
  4. I live 5 miles down the road from this lake and have fished it loads of times. It hold quite alot of doubles with a few 20's in it. Best tactics are to fish 6 feet off the island in the day and drop back into the open water at night. You do seem to catch more at night. Tactics wise, solid bags work great as do lightly baited spots with particles or a good spread of boilies, corn works well, boilie wise kg1 active8 and cell work the best, fish a snowman for the bigger fish. The lake is heavly pressured full most weekends. The best pegs are 3,5,7,10,11 and 15 at that time of year.... Any more info you need pm me
  5. Yes they do allow bait boats on Bradleys. There are tons of features, bars weedbeds etc, it can be tough at times but if you get it right you can land a haul. The Point is a very good peg and also opposite the houses, Either a nice spod mix or a big bed of boilies work very well. Ask the guys in the shop where you get the tickets from they will point you in the right direction. It can be a little bait and wait if your after the biggies, but a lovely big thinking water. Dont neglect the margins though as some are 12ft deep and when the boats come out you can snare a few within 2 feet of the bank. hope this helps.
  6. Thanks guys, just a bit paranoid because of the extreme type of carping il be doing on the ebro. But that has put my mind at rest, im just after making up 20 of them so i can relax now....
  7. Hi guys, I am wanting to know if anyone can tell me how long you leave your pre tied rigs in your rig wallet for before remaking them? Reason being I am next going fishing early March and have to go have an operation on my arm next week and will be unable to tie them for just before I go. If i made them up this week, would they 'keep' fine for about 9/10 weeks made up until i go in march and still be up for the job and work as well? i.e sharpness, knot strength etc..shop bought pre tied are a big no no! I use a korda rigsafe box.. Ernie
  8. Thanks for the advice mate, I am really looking forward to it. Looks like it will be the next chance I'll get go fishing anyway everywhere is frozen and too cold here at the moment!
  9. Hi guys, I had planned to go to france for a week next year but as I can only get time off at the start of March when its quite cold I have now chose to fish the Segre at Mequinenza for the first time, where you fish days only with an apartment for the nights. I was hoping for any information from people who have fished there before on what tackle would be best and what bait etc.... Will I need braid or Mono mainline? ( perhaps with a leader ) what hook size would be best? ( i was thinking size 2,4,6 ) and also what hooklink material ie some form of coated braid and some quicksilver - if really snaggy and if the cats move in and also lead size... Finally onto the bait, I am going with Catmaster Tours and have been told its best to bait lightly i.e bags, stringers etc so as not to draw the cats in (although I dont mind hooking 1 or 2) and that 20/22mm pellets are best for the carp although I think I would still definelty bring/buy some boilies to fish with and was thinking of fireing out a kilo or 2 each day if that works? Sorry for the barrage of questions, but if anyone could help answer some of these questions, it would be a massive help for me to get the right terminal tackle, bait etc and help me prepare properly, nothing worse than getting it wrong! Thanks in advance to anyone who can help Ernie
  10. Hi guys, I am planning my first trip to france for next year and am looking to go to Angel Lakes near Limoges for a nice easy all inclusive holiday. My only concern is the weather, I can only have time off in March and after speaking to the owner, I have been told it could be very cold below freezing down to minus 5, 10 or 15 degrees on a nighttime and that my chances of catching were slim. Whilst I appreciate you cannot predict the weather or the fish for that matter, I just dont want to waste my time if you know what I mean. Anyone that has travelled over at this time of year or anyone who think they can help, I would be grateful for any information you can provide as Im unsure on what to do... Many thanks Ernie
