Fished the match lake the friday before last and had a 11lb mirror, fished it again on the sunday and lost 3 fish at the net pretty gutted because i wasnt expecting much as they were spawning one of them was at least a 12lb ghost and the others were 2 small mirrors all runs and fish i had and should have had, were from using Nash white chocolate boilies, its a bait i really wanted to try this season and i aint got any complaints towards it as of yet tight lines (or maybe a little slacker)

cool looks likes i'll giving scopex a go, and try a few few other tactics and baits on the other rods tight lines

Hi all Thinking of doing the large lake, i believe this is classed as the match lake this friday, haven't done willows for over a year and was wondering if anyone can give some input on baits and swims that could give me a few runs. Also is this the best lake to fish for carp or am i better trying one of the other, i'm not that bothered about sizes at the moment, just a screaming reel will do the trick until the new season starts cheers
