  1. OK southend fishing mmmm, as my name suggests location is here l.o.l, you asked for runs waters. Are you new to carping or an experienced carper. If your new to it then stambridge fisheries near rochford is a runs water, never fished it because its too commercial for me. If you can walk/carry ok Doggetts in rochford, not a runs water but not hardest water for doubles, and with effort it holds 20s and 30s, my p.b 30 came from there may 08. Anything you wanna know i will help on this one.Priory park worth a go, few good upper 20s in there . Rochford reservior, it was netted and is far from a runs water but with a little effort its possible to land doubles. Hope this helps, feel free to pm me. :)

  2. Hi there, furnace is lovely place but like anywhere you get noddies, steer clear of furnace lake and pond, fish roman or kiln. Not hardest waters but youll have to work to catch. These fish have seen it all so dont heavy bait, pva and dont be afraid to try plastics either. Very safe at night, they close gates and anglers ONLY after dark.CCTV on site so car safe too. CLEAN TOILETS, and cabin with microwave and kettle. Hope this helps :)

  3. Well being as weve just got through winter, wouldnt expect to see much swim use, this lakes pretty secluded. But atleat 3 areas did look lightly fished. Also found a small length of line(6 inches of approx 12lb) on floor in one swim. May have to risk being arrested l.o.l. :)

  4. Thanks mate, where did you try and get permission? my friend used to fish it about 10+ years ago, he reckoned them signs"PRIVATE" and "NO FISHING" were there then? We walked around it yesterday and some signs said ACT who-ever thet may be, also an old sign "stepney" rest were broken. Someone must know who owns it????????

  5. Hi all, does anyone know of any well run, tidy day ticket venues in or near(30 mins drive) Basingstoke? i dont want a runs water but somewhere can catch doubles with fair chance of a 20. Prefer somewhere not too packed and not massive walk, also night fishing allowed, appreciate any input, cheers gents.

  6. Ok guys, not a french expert and am not going to go into massive detail. However for me dreamlakes was a good venue. i visited may 08, only been carping 2 years then, and was happy with 29 carp, 4 cats. Dont know what some people expect, we go to france to beat pbs and catch amounts of big carp in a week we cant dream of in uk. Well for me and others i know dreamlakes fits bill.

Oh and saying owner smokes/takes crack/coke is b...cks, for starters more than one individual owns dreamlakes, so got that wrong and main owner was there all week i was, i had breakfast and dinner everyday with zen(1 of owners) and he is top guy, not once was smoke/gear/snort mentioned or seen. I would pick up on it,trust me ive done 10 years security/doorman. Guys, be your own judge.

  7. Hi guys, havnt been to both venues but have fished dreamlake 2. You cant get better quality carp than the 50lb common i saw caught, or the 110lb cat, also a venue record of 67lb 8oz carp. Food was excellent, anglers were real laugh, as well as sharing info, bailiffs were generally great, 2 bailiffs stood out but others were ok. Met owner Zen on my week and he is a top guy. :)

  8. Well guys,me and my friend did 36 hours there this weekend, had over 20 fish between us and considering it was his first ever carp trip, now has a p.b of 17lb 8 ounces.. not bad ay lads, anyway it was a bit messy but i only spotted one rat and the main thing I had problem with was a group of lads on the other bank, met two baliffs, one nice young lad, one older guy who was grumpy, but i didnt go to be his friend, and car park needs levelling. all together lads a bit messy but with some nice fish.
