  1. 1am booked for 11 days from the 10th november on countdown now.
  2. lakes that show their catch reports each week tend to be good you then can decide if they are catching the size and amount that would interest you,its a starting point for a decision?.
  3. one of the best things about fishing i think is the planing the looking forward to the next trip, ive always got something booked for the future,my next trip is for zander at bury hill, then a couple local trips, then paradise lake in france, what am i on about?.look forward to your trip and i really do hope you get some of your target fish, tightlines and have a great trip daryl.
  4. fair enough if the fishing is a bit tricky but not being able to cast because of the the trees is a bit naughty .?
  5. i used to fish it a few years ago mainly specimen lake,i would choose the main lake over dove i would personaly say dove is the hardest lake, went for a look around in april saw a bloke land a 26lb 8oz from dove, the main has got a lot harder to ,but the fish are a lot bigger than they use to be,my last trip to the main was april 2008 with my mates bait boat, had 12 fish including 4 cats to 21lb 8oz.if you use a bait boat try alot of diced cut up fish, and fish a boilie in amounst it,gives you the best of both worlds if the carp come in over the chopped up fish?.
  6. dont forget to take some plastic baits.
  7. i have total confidence in fake baits, one way of looking at it is they dont have hands to try it ,and move it, they move it with their mouth, you catch fish on these baits even if they dont want to eat it ,it flies in their mouth better than other baits .
  8. alan dont take any banned baits, wayne the baillif is strict on rules,i personally stuck to the rules 100%,he does turn up from different parts of the lake, maybe to check that people havent left rods unatended etc, first time i went he done a rig check not a problem when your doing nothing wrong, try and do something just a bit different, for example 1st time i went i took 2000 lob worms, this would be a lot better now as most of the perch and rudd seem to have gone, wayne backed that up and hes on there every day?.
  9. thats a brilliant week, for the 1st trip of the year a major result .
  10. me and a friend fished it for about 5 hrs 2005 we had 12 carp and was told by the bailif that was not good, we were fishing another lake on the complex at the time, take that other chaps advice and fish the swims behind the hanger, its been stocked with some bigger carp since then,my tip would be, bye new batteries for your buzzers, have a good trip .
  11. ive been to france many times, only go to a venue after speaking to someone whos been before, keiths offer is spot on for you,you will be shown the going swims bait and rigs, thats a massive head start,i have also spoken to someone whos been ,he caught a load of good fish and is going again,1 good trip to france is better than 3 bad,i always think its better to travel a little bit futher if you have all the info correct ,tightlines hope you have a great trip , daryl.
  12. i know the lakes quite well, the last timei fished dove was may 2006,i had 2 19s but my mates blanked, its been restocked since but not many fish come out ive been told, would be my 3rd choice at the moment.
  13. ive fished the 3 main lakes at hawkhurst, including the specimen lake, dove is the hardest and the smallest, bit of a puddle ?
  14. shallows thats the swim i would fish with 4 on the lake, its got to be rested you dont want to be fishing this swim 24 /7 , your in a situation where you wait all year to fish your big trip of the year, but the tatic in this swim is fish peak times only, and it is quite hard to know what these times are .with out a bait boat no 1 choice would be shallows, with a bait boat suicide, tightlines .
