Anyone? Any advice or feedback would be appreciated

Hello All, I'm off to Mirror lake at the end of April and i can't wait But like most i'm trying to find out as much information as possible about what bait's and set ups work best. Has anyone been? If so how did you find it and can you give me any information please? I've tried searching on here and there isn't much, a while ago there was a few good posts but i can't seem to find them anymore so i presume they have been removed. Cheers Matt

Looks perfect but i'm affraid that is a little expensive between 5 people! £650 each, Without transport, bait etc. The girlfriend would go loopy! Looking to spend about £450. Cheers Matt

Thanks for the reply, but your lake is not what i'm looking for. I'm after an established lake that has a good reputation. Maybe in a couple of years time, but not for me at the moment. Cheers Matt

Thank you for the reply. Would prefer Southern France due to the weather at that time of year i guess, but as i say, were open to suggestions.

Evening, 5 of us will be booking a trip to France in April of next year, But as the choice is huge we don't know where to go. We are looking for 30LB plus fish (that way we all have a chance of beating our PB's) We want to hire the whole lake, and a food package would be great Can anyone advise a venue please? Cheers.

Hello, I often go to pool house farm - http://www.fisheries.co.uk/poolhousefarm/index.htm Speak to Cedric (the owner) he has a disabled peg or 2 and will allow the car right to the bankside to unload all your stuff etc and the peg is a properly paved with lots of room. I've had many good days fishing there, although the fish are not huge they do make a good account of themselves once hooked and every other fish i find to be around the 9-10lb mark. Since been back and broken my PB with a 25lb mirror. Still following the advice given on here, so thanks again.

Afternoon, Can anybody tell me wheres fishing well at the moment please and will allow nights? Was thinking of going Lavender Hall but can't stand the thought of listening to that automated message from the station every 15 minutes! Want somewhere where there is a possibility of catching doubles and somewhere peaceful..... Somewhere like willesley lake (too late to get on there now) Any suggestions please? Cheers Matt

Just a little update, Had the best days fishing in a long while, Had 4 fish in total. 1st run withing 15 minutes! Which landed me 19lb 12oz Mirror 2nd fish was a common at 16lb 9oz 3rd fish was 20lb 4 oz - which is my first twenty and a new PB The last fish (at 9.45pm) was just over 13lb mirror, let my mate have that one as he had blanked - glad i did as that was the smallest of the 4....!! Followed the tips i had been given on here, so thanks to all for there input. Cheers Matt

Booked pegs 1&2 for tomorrow, any last minute tips please?

Afternoon all, Had a good look round the pool last night and am going to book up a couple of pegs for me and my mate. Can any of the regulars offer any advice please? I quite liked the look of pegs 1,2,9 and 10 (Since found out 9 and 10 are upto 11ft deep, so now a little unsure) Out of them which would you go for? Or can you recommend another peg which tends to fish better than the others? Also are there any particular methods that are fishing well? I'll take a good selection of bait, but can anyone tell me if there are any favourites at the minute? Cheers Matt

Hi mate, Don't bother, plenty of better places to fish. It's down the road from me and i'll pop there if i want to kill a couple of hours - but thats all it's good for. One positive thing i will say though, the fish ALWAYS seem to be immaculate.
