  1. yeh, how did u get on mate, i fished there again 2 weeks ago and had a 28lb 2oz. think its the biggest that been out in a while. the only bad thing about it was that it didnt put up a fight at all lol!!
  2. nah showers not up yet mate, think they are gonna be about a month!! gd luck with the fishing mate, let us no what u have out!
  3. alrite mate, just got back from manor and had 2 10lb a 13lb a 16 and a 16 1/2 all from the carp lake on tutti fruity boilie. I fished on the right hand side of the lake in the smaller bit of the lake. i would definatly recomend it mate.
  4. Bad times, i wouldnt of thought you will blank at manor, as there are quite a few smaller fish during the summer. Yeh will do mate, fingers crossed i have a decent result then!!
  5. Ok, yes i was thinking of using the inline leads with the grrove cut out of them. thanks for the advice!
  6. Tony they can be quite safe mate, they come out of the weed easier than a pendulem lead, just be mindfull the lead comes off the swivel. I personally wouldn't use in dense weed though. just incase you crack off. what type of rig would you use when fishing in dense weed then. I have had so many suggestions but everyone seems to think differently lol. at the moment i am thinking of using an in line running rig.
  7. yes it was quite weedy lol! Some old geezer had a 13lb and a 16lb the night we got there on spicy shrimp boilies so i would give them a try. Im back down there this weekend to try a different swin nearer the island this time so will let you know how it goes. have you ever fished any of the lakes down there before??
  8. are you fishing the carp lake? i fished it last week and had 17 fish out. The biggest was only 10lbs but there are some massive fish hiding in there! i fished the disabled peg with a mate and was casting into a big gravel patch that i found with the marker rod. I would recomend that you take a rake, marker rod, quite alot of pellet or groundbait and some fishy flavoured boilies (prawn or halibut).
  9. Rite thanks for the tips so far guys. i will be fishing fishing boilies on one of my rods and 6m pellets on the other rod. The fish in the lake are mostly upper teens and 20's. I have also found that the fish only ever take the bait when it is in very deep water (10ft) or shallow water (3-4ft). Help would be much apprieciated!
  10. hey all, does anyone have any tips on in line rigs. I normally use good old bolt rigs but want to see if in line rigs are any better when fishing in weedy lakes. i have used the basic ESP in line rigs but was wondering if there are any other helpfull ideas that i could use. cheers!
