Just thought id let you guys know , ive just booked up to go back out to start my 2009 season at carpfishingparadise. found my flights online this weekend on ryanair for just £3.75 each way !!!! no taxes .stansted to graz in march. quite a few brits out there too then ,so i been told after the angling times went out there to do an article on carp fishing in austria in november 2008, cant wait to catch some more monster carp abroad. my biggest last year was 49lb, so wanna beat it , will let you know how i get on lake record last year was a 61lb black grass carp

a quick message to the ex pats in germany well worth a visit for you is austria www.carpfishingparadise.co.uk great venue , english spoken, bar ,restaurant,and accomodation on site, and your license to fish sorted out on site. try it you wont be dissapointed, over 8 tonne of fish stocked, carp to 55lb grass carp to 61lb silver carp to 88lb and not expensive !!!

dont know how far from austria you are ? but check out this water www.carpfishingparadise.co.uk you will easily catch 150 lb plus a day accommodation food and bar there also

well im all booked up for another session at carpfishingparadise in austria £10 return flights too so well pleased ill let you know how it went shame no one was up for it, but a few mates decided to come expecting 400-500lb a day

Hi guys just wondered how many of you might like to try austria I go out 3-4 times a year to a venue, near to where my sister lives would be good to have some british company on next trip, if anyones up for it theres some right cheap flights from stansted in sept, perhaps there might even be some expats in austria or germany , might fancy hooking up theres accommodation and tackle at the venue pm me if your up for it

I found a great water in austria last year, whilst visiting my sister who lives there it holds commons , mirrors, koi, grass carp, silver carp, sturgeon, paddlefish, zander, and tench, all specimen too !!!! it really does have everything there , accomodation, bar, restaurant, bait, tackle, hire, and only 30 mins from graz airport, fished it for a day in may, then went back, in sept ,oct ,nov for 3-7 days trips, cost me £22 each way for my tackle (ryanair) and my biggest bill for the week i went including everything, chalet fishing food and drink and bait was about 330 euros

hi, i lived in mallorca for a few years, and after many hours of enquires found that carp fishing does exist, although its a massive red tape situation to actually fish the waters. firstly the other reply is correct, the gorg blau, and cuber, are the venues, these dam venues hold all the fresh water from the mountains of majorca, and a head of carp and pike, BRILLIANT you say !!! Now the bad bit, the red tape !!! firstly you must apply for a license to fish these waters, a trip to the mallorca fisheries govt office in palma is first (they dont speak english). once you have the form filled in ,you must then take it to a bank pay the fee, get it stamped and return to the offices. you will then be issued with your freshwater fishing license(all this must be done between feb/march. once you have your license you then must get the permits for the days you want to fish, you get a choice of days on a form you can pick 4 days iin total only . at gorg or cuber. these forms are then numbered eg 1-249, if you are number 1 you get what dates you wanted, if your bottom of the list you have to hope no-one has picked your dates !Yes its a lottery system. the fishing is only from april, may and june you must get your application in ,in march, and then at the 31st you go back to the offices and get your dates, with the papers to fish. a warning though if you dont have the license or the permits for the correct day with you and id, and are caught fishing, you will be arrested your tackle confiscated, and risk a heavy fine and possible prison. there are regular patrols, and you will be checked, i can assure you, and seen many arrests!! if you manage to get through all this you will enjoy a great four days fishing, in probably the most beautiful and wonderful settings ever. hope this helps both your self and other anglers wishing to fish in mallorca.
