  1. Id say its depends on the situation. Say if im fishing 'bits' over particles i use, a size 8/9, but for the bigger boilies i go to a size 7/6. Also for example, carp that have harder, scarred mouths whether that be from passing gravel when eating etc, then a strong, sharp bigger hook may be needed to get the best possible hookhold.
  2. I use the chod rig and and another pop up rig, which as i dont usually use pop ups i use only in the colder months. Other than that i use my summer rigs, maybe scaled down a little, i dont see why bother changing rigs when you have got all that confidence and have caught loads of fish on a certain rig in the warmer months.
