  1. Most popular res`s are (in no order) the 1,2 & 3. It can be a race to swims on many occasions, especially weekends. Other side (low/high maynards) are less busy. A lot of nash bait goes in, but most bait catches.
  2. No, but was thinking about it myself and the other one called the rise.
  3. You have to know someone who`s already on there to get on the waiting list.
  4. I`m considering joining one of them or somewhere else with similar sized fish. Any suggestions or info please. pm`s if you don`t want to broadcast it so to speak. Cheers.
  5. I fished it around 10yrs ago and yes it`s good. Days only and depends what you want from a venue. Plenty of big fish in the res`s. I`m re-joining this forthcoming season.
  6. Just as the lead hit`s the water, stop the line on the spool with your fingertip and the rig should kick away from the lead. Let the lead hit the bottom on a tight line and it should be ok with what your using.
  7. Anyone going over there in next few weeks? I`m going for 48hrs for the 1st time. Sounds like a nice place.
  8. Some hooklength materials in lower breaking strains tangle easier. Higher breaking strains/stiffer material such as fluorocarbon because of the anti-rejection properties and hooking effects. I`ve used braid in 4lb,7lb & 10lb and it`s ************e. It just unravels itself during a session, but in 15lb it`s fine. So in a nutshell - desired effect and presentation. Also, the rod and mainline cushions the fish lunges etc, but a short hooklength of lighter material will break before the mainline.
