  1. It's easy to say you should walk round the lake but when you live an hour away sometimes you have to take the word of the management and go on the strength of that. I had fished the lake 5 years ago when it was the owners private lake reserved for friends and family and it was Weedy then but nowhere near as bad as it is now.
  2. Well if pulling so much weed that you fear for loosing your whole setup every cast then I suggest Jacobs Creek Your golf analogy would only make sense if the fairways were either heavy sand or thick rough.
  3. Sorry maybe not "unfishable" but certainly not enjoyable and and isn't that the point of fishing is to enjoy it. It was a chore and every time I reeled I am I was full of dread. Tbh we didn't tell the management we just wanted to go we left way before when we were supposed to. it was that disheartening.
  4. Fished there a couple of weeks ago, Knew it was weedy as i asked the baliff he said it was'nt that bad well if thats the case i would'nt want to see his bad lol If i was a touch lighter i reckon i could of walked from one side to the other. Completly choked with weed, hardly any clear spots and of the 3 fish i caught which the biggest was 1olb, none of them fought because they were smothered in weed. Surely its down to the managment there to atleast make it fishable before taking money off us fishermen??
  5. Hi guys are any of you members there or have fished it in the past? Had a look on the web looks like a nice lake with nice fish just wanted to know how hard it is and wether it's worth leaving my currant lakes to join this one. Any info would be most welcome
