  1. Been quiet, I walk the dog down there every night, although everybody i seem to see down there are fishing in the wrong place Only one guy on last night (who was in the right place ) don't know if he caught though. Conditions are about right but not sure how the new 'residents' are settling in. In a nut shell, haven't heard of any memorable sessions happening since the freeze. Could do with a bit more warm sun on the water and watch their patrol routes.
  2. Sounds like a good idea, i pass the res every night on the way home from work. The small pool nxt to it looks good for stalking
  3. Mere is in Tong. Go A41 over junction 3 at cosford continue until you reach the Bell pub & petrol station, take the right turn opp, go down lane to 'T' junction and turn left, approx 100yds there is a cottage on the left with a big gate. go through this gate (if anyone about tell 'em you fish and you want to see the pool) go down the track and when you see the pool do not swear out loud 'cos you will be amazed!
  4. I have never fished it but a friend who i work with does and has never seen the balif. He's had carp up to 20lb. Not the area you want to fish alone at night or leave your car, check out the glass in the layby....
  5. Wergs Hall hasn't been fished for years and is well overgrown. The guy whos runs the tackle shop in Perton knows who owns it, but I think it's a no go. Shame. You Wolverhampton / Codsall way? Albrighton Anglers got some nice pools, day fish only. Weston under lizard got some good pools, the Norton mere having 30's but again only day fishing.
  6. Weston-under-lizard angling club. Check out the web site. They have the speci pool 'Norton mere' opp Bell at tong pub with 30+lb carp. Hard water though very beautiful. Membership £60.00 a year. They also got the Swan Pit in Newport, daylight only water, but you get a double every time you go, my 8 year old daughter caught an 11lb common on Sunday!!
