  1. like your man said try longer hooklinks or hook types etc, the main idea of fishing two rods is to try different rigs or baits or areas on each until you find a winning combo then you can fish both set ups on both rods. your getting the runs so i think youve found the fish and a bait that they like, that really is the biggest hurdle overcome, rigs is the easy one, just keep trying.
  2. i use korda hybrid in muddy brown with no problems, ive had fish upto mid twenties on it but am sure it could handle much bigger.
  3. a simple D rig, ie a knotless knot then the bit that would normaly be the hair pushed back through the eye, trimmed and just touched with a lighter to make a small blob to stop it going back through the eye. i have had absolutaly loads of fish on this rig. you dont have to use a ring on the D i just use some strong cotton for the hair leaving a couple of millimetres to allow the bait to blow back.
  4. if youve done all your boilies they could be a bit over flavoured, with it been a shop bought dip you shouldnt be able to completly overdose them? id crumble them (crush them between your finger and thumb) and use them with a whole soaked boilie as a hookbait in a pva bag and use undipped boilies (maybe buy somemore?) as free offerings catapulted around it. i wouldnt worry youve soaked your hookbaits rather than just dipped them, use on on one rod and a unsoaked on another if you want to experiment.
  5. a simple mono d ring is as good as anything for pop ups takes 1min to tie
  6. korda wide gape take some beating, it reminds me of the partridge z15 which was a cracking hook in its day, longshank nailers are a close second
