i use tiny bait bands with pellets and cat biscuits but flipping eck not anything like your pic mate i love the tactic you use mate,very clever

yep i know mate i meant that i general,last time i was there a few years ago it was full of very unexperienced anglers (which i dont have a problem with) but they were catching alot of carp while the baliff was round and he really didn't seem to care how the fish were being treated which is just terrible to watch............haven't been there since so maybe its improved alot

ive never had a scale lift using mono either,i have done when using braid mainline but i always thought that was because braid is flat and can slide under the scales,mono is round and seems to just brush off them where leadcore leaders are banned i'll use about 3 feet of thin tubing only because of that extra bit of protection from snags etc not to protect the fish as its never been a worry to me

to be honest once ive used a hooklength for a session even if i blank i very very rarely use it again

holwell hyde is a flipping dump! full of anglers that have no idea what there doing or how to look after the fish,last time i was there (about 5 years ago) the fish i had really were in terrible condition should be using unhooking mats even if its not on the rules
