  1. thats nothing unusual with the temp so up and down tbh Yes but what was strange is the other lakes on the same day and hour you could see fish movement.
  2. Any body fished this lake in the last 6 months and caught anything When we went saw one fish that's it, nothing moving at all.
  3. I contacted Ehmanns my bivvy manufactures in Germany about my hole in my bivvy caused by rats. They have sent me free of charge material to repair my bivvy. Saved me big problems. Thanks Ehmanns
  4. I have recently fished Broadwing on Taswood Lakes. Do not leave any bait in plastic or other bags in your bivvy, I had left some pellets that I was making pva bags from and had left the pellets in a plastic wrapped up bag inside my bivvy, during the night RATS had bored a 2 inch/ 5.1cm round hole in my bivvy and had attempted to get at the pellets by pulling the at the bag from the outside. Safe to use sealed tubs. I had spoken to the owner about the incident and was advised further rat poison would be put down.
  5. Had a great week at Les Burons 10th March 2012. 3 anglers Weather very cold at night, warm during the day. Bit of a working week for use during the day, we fished at evenings and at night, we were making a new boilie range for Robs lake and testing them, instant success, a 35lb and a 36lb mirrors. We also used Cut Tail Baits strawberry squid robin red. Total catch was 39 carp, made up of a 45lb mirror a 43lb 13oz mirror, 16x 30lb+ best 38lb 17x 20lb+ best 29lb 14oz 4x under 20lb. All the hard bivvies have been re vamped, with an extended porch, gravel pegs, and best of all the solar lighting to light up you peg a the touch of a switch. We had Lins cooked meals and baguette for dinner time, pudding were excellent. All in all a very enjoyable working week.
  6. Have to agree, Pendle is not the place it used to be, I was a regular there till the new owner came in, last three visits was nothing but hassle, I got the impression they just wanted your money. Read other comments about PV else where on this forum.
  7. Les Burons, been four times in two years
  8. I wrote a detailed e-mail to the manager x 2 of the problems we encountered, only to be fobbed off. The manger could have sorted the problem and chose not to; hence it ended up on this forum.
  9. Whilst out for 24hrs fishing I met an angler who I used to meet at Pendle view. When I asked him what he up to he was told me he does not fish PV any more, his reason he told me was there had been a lot of fighting on the lake Near the toilets, to say I was shocked was an understatement. Has anyone heard of such goings on, is this true or is some person scare mongering. This is a sad and sorry day for carp fishing if this is true.
  10. Update on PV Since 2008 Pendle View have introduced approx 441 kg of Carp, official figures. why they don't inform those who wish to know is a bit of a mystery!
  11. Yes I have read and heard also, I read on their web site anglers are asking About the new fish, but PV staff have not given any answers, strange if you Are looking to promote your fishery, to answer web site queries.
  12. Anyone know about the new fish added at PV as per their web site. Anybody caught any!
  13. An opinion is a subjective statement or thought about an issue or topic, and is the result of emotion or interpretation of facts. An opinion may be supported by an argument, although people may draw opposing opinions from the same set of facts. Opinions rarely change without new arguments being presented. However, it can be reasoned that one opinion is better supported by the facts than another by analysing the supporting arguments. What people have written on here is their fishing experiences, not opinions! For me I won't go again, I save all my money to fish in France. Better fishing, better treated.
  14. Simple go to Les Burons my 4th visit coming up in 18months
  15. Go to Les Burons France, top class venue, fish from high twentys to high fortys, you will be well looked after.
  16. This I have heard has happened a few times, saying that had a great time on my first visit 5 carp 2x 18lb, lost x3 line cut on lillys in 48hrs
  17. We 3 in party booked onto Four Seasons fishery Blackpool for 48hrs. On Mill lake on the 22nd July 09. The Mill lake was supposed to be a "runs water" with a head of 250 as advertised, so we at least expected to catch a couple of carp each, nothing further from the truth, we all blanked! We tried every rig and bait going including their own bait not even a touch. We only saw 3 fish being pulled out whilst we where there, I counted at least 20 rods in the water at that time. Some anglers had been there for over 3 days and blanked, this was before the pellet saga. There are far too many pegs for such a small lake, this gave rise to other anglers casting into your swim this became very frustrating and annoying and very ignorant on the part of some inconsiderate anglers. A large amount of carp pellets was thrown in the lake at four strategic points for the purpose of school age anglers and a visit by Sky TV this killed the fishing right off for other anglers on the opposite bank. The pegs are large but drainage is poor, recommend 12inch pegs for your bivvy if you still fancy fishing this place after reading this. After 24hrs we packed up and left, we have never ever done this in all the time we have been carp fishing. Total waste of £40.00 Sorry Four Seasons Fisheries but you may well have a well turned out fishery with all the amenities but there are far too many pegs on both lakes, this is not just our view but views of other anglers we have spoken to and there is something wrong with the fishing there, such comments as the carp are line shy, you need a longer hook length i.e. 10 to 12 inches!!! Are they not virgin carp you have stocked.
  18. I fished it four weeks ago, landed 5, 2 at 18lb. lost 3 on snapped hook link due to lillys. fished for 48hrs. Some pegs are small, you need to have a look round for the right pegs if you have a large bivvy. Fish are in good nick and fight like the devil.
  19. Just an update, I have been to Les Burons 3 times in twelve months there has been further improvements, further stock added, major plus! all pegs have been extended and wood chipped. Power and lighting is soon to added to the hard bivvies I smashed my pb in 1 night by landing 27lb 33lb and a 40lb carp These fish fight as thou they are on steroids, if you want to test your carping skills try Les Burons
  20. Just to update, we fished Les Burons June 2008. It now has hard bivvies so you don't need to take your own. First class fishing and great host's
  21. Not that good, I spoke to a lot of anglers and some locals, I got a totally different picture from what has been said.
