i had this problem; I was using the 'original vitalin', the one which is still yellow when you add hot water, but i switched to the 'gravy vitalin' which is a red colour when it's wet. I think the added flvour of gravy was enough to turn the carp on but i also add, chopped and whole boilies, different sized halibut pellets (3mm to 14mm), tuna chunks, sweetcorn, hemp and some liquid attractant. It may seem liike a witches potion, but i know by trial and error, that on my local lake, it works!

has anyone fished billing aquadrome before. I fished the boat lake today for pike and had a little jack pike, probably the smallest pike in the lake. Does anyone know if ther are carp in any of the lakes at billing aquradrome? cheers, any help welcome

If people are thinking about these things then A.. carp fishing is getting silly. or B..people have too much spare time.

if you look on the back of the Korda packet it will tell you how to use em. With the korda ones just place the plastic inner before your tubing and then slip the metal outer on the line behind the plastic inner. Then slide the two together and twist till they lock.

i bought flying backleads a while ago and have been experimenting with them for about three months now. In one session i was thinking...........after you have cast out and the flying backlead is somewhere between your rig and your rod, when you tighten up the line, doesnt the backlead just slide down to your rig and hang above your tubing? I think that using a normal backlead such as the fox captive backlead is vital when using the flying backleads.

how long should a leadcore leader be? i was thinking maybe around 5 ft

i have fished carp lakes for 4 years now and the rules have stated that you are not allowed to use leadcore. However i have just joined a local water where you are allowed to use it, so i need some help on how to actually use it. For example how would i incorporate it into a running rig. does your line go through the leadcore like tubing, or do you tie it on to your mainline. cheers for the help.
