    yeah it does but the leader is more for abrasion resistance than distance though

  5. hi all, im due to fish brasenose 2 in a couple of weeks and ive read that its recommended to use to use shock leaders due to under water conditions. iv never used them before so do i use them straight through from my mainline to the lead or through to my usual lead core set up. many thanks mark

  11. hi all im looking for a day ticket water round about the alton towers area. so either north staffordshire or south cheshire, just to keep me out of mischief for 48hrs while the kids terrify her indoors on nemisis and other so called pleasure rides. not looking for monsters just a healthy head of twenties cheers mark

  13. dont do it. we stayed there with the kids a couple of times en route to italy. the lake is only just over an acre in size. last time we were there i counted 15 bivvies 3 rods each i'll let you work that one out. yes theres carp in it up to about 20lb plus a few sturgeon but its high pressured. oh forgot to mention the over head power cables. good luck mark
  14. hiya mate what yer movin to sunderland for, i spent 25 years trying to get out of the place. seriously though have you tried silksworth lake up by the dry ski slope. i used to fish it as a youngster many moons ago, and read somewhere about two years ago that the origional carp were pushing the 20lb mark.it was always on day tickets but you could join the club for buttons. good luck mark

  16. last i heard lonsdale park was for caravan residents only. if you can travel , you could always join windermere and ambleside angling association.40 quid a year for about 6 waters.
