Hi, I have been having a chat with my wife about buying a lake in France in the future and was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts, has anyone done it and loved it/regretted it etc, it just seems as though every time you turn on the TV it is all doom and gloom. I am sure it is such a lot of work and I am not even sure where to start looking, hence i thought I would ask the question on here as you can find all sorts of wonderful info on here!! Hi, I have been looking through this site and reading a number of posts and the sticky's about names of lakes etc but I really really need some advice. I took my step dad night fishing for his birthday to broadlands in hampshire, and I have to say we have a great time but the fishing was awful. Since going to broadlands (my first time in 10 years) I have brought about 5 magazines each month, already got my christmas and birthday presents sorted for the next 5 years and almost got a divorce!!! So now I need your help, I want to go for a 48 hour session in end of April early May. I live in Southampton, my dad lives in Birmingham and we were looking to go to Milton lakes in Oxford but we were not going to fish the specimen lake. However I have heard bad reports so I thought I would ask you guys on here, anywhere around that area, oxfordshire, buckingshire really anywhere in the middle of the 2 of us. Believe me I have tried the search feature but I have not really found what I was looking for.. Any advice, help, kick in the right direction would be awesome..... Thanks Ziggy

Hi Guys, I am in need of some help. I am due to take my dad night fishing for the first time this weekend to Broadlands but I have been reading some things that make me a little concerned. Are there chances of big fish there? What sort of baits have been fishing well there? Any advice would be really well recieved, It is our first time and I want him to really enjoy himself and hook into a big fish. The guys down there seem really nice
