  6. if you were to use some putty on the hook itself would this help the hook to drop to the bottom of the mouth quicker once the carp has taken the bait, and would this make it harder for the fish to eject the bait once taken.....just a thought....
  7. hello mate have tried this a few times but not much good if there are lots of bream etc in the water........have a look here http://www.carp.com/article77.html?sid=862bcbbfc9fac65d15d9ad105d5f12fd
  8. thanks mate, explains why so many products seem to be the same, going to try the 15lb vanish and see how i get on with it
  9. can someone tell me the difference between the the 100m spools of stuff like berkley vanish and the 20m spools of hooklink fluorocarbon like korda, they both say 100% fluorocarbon and seem to be the same except there is five times more on the berkley spool and its £1 cheaper, sorry if this is a stupid question and maybe i'm missing something obvious but i just cant see a difference
  10. have a look through the rig section you should find plenty to be going on with, but my advice would be to learn how to tie a knotless knot and use this first, the basic knotless knot has probably caught more fish than any other rig. simpler is often better
