That's your problem right there mate. You're going down with pre-conceived ideas of how to fish it, which is pretty much guaranteed a cock-up! There's no way of telling before you arrive what the fish will go for!! Do some research beforehand, when you get there have a good look round, observe the fish, use the weather and temperature as a rough guide to where in the water column the fish may be. Try a different method on each rod, on different spots.
