http://www.coarsefish.com/Hairrig.htm i wouldn't bother using the shrink tubing though, if you've not been carping too long. normal mono would also owrk well for hair rigs. tight lines courtz

i have heard of people using them with stiff rig, i wouldn't try it though, as i wouldn't want to risk damaging the line. tight lines courtz

i find kryston mantis gold good, as it's colour blends into the bottom well. for mono i normally use drennan double strength over light coulurs lake beds. tight lines courtz

it's a helicopter rig, but with the swivel and attatching beads about 1ft away from the lead on the leader. it's good for fishing into silt on leaf debris
