Hi all, Just booked for a weekend session this Fri to Sun on Baden's middle lake. Anyone know how it's been fishing recently and what they are coming out on? Any info much appreciated. Ben

Went to Le Moulin du Mee in the end. Had an awesome days fishing. Went on the runs pool and I certainly got plenty of them! 26 carp and 3 tench. Biggest was 15lb but the majority were 10lb +. Fish were immaculate. Really nice family and a great venue. Will definitely be going again. They do have a specimen lake which is where I'll be going next time. Although will be good to try the runs lake again after the proposed developments. Should be an awesome lake then (if it can get any better!). Would highly recommend to anyone. Thanks to Mrs Rusheslake for pointing me in the right direction. Ben

Sounds like that is exactly what type of place it is. There is a 30 acre lake down the road but it is for gites. Does anyone know anywhere in the Brenne National Park that you can fish at as I am very close to there. Otherwise, anywhere near Tours? Preferably a runs water as I will only be able to do a day unfortunately! Ben

Hi all, I'm currently staying at a little village in France called Le Petit Pressigny. There's a gorgeous lake here, but I was wondering if anyone has fished it before. Fished it once already and had a carp at 5lbs. Just wondered if anyone has any info on it? Regards Ben

Hey guys, Does anyone know of any decent carp / cat lakes in the Brenne National Park? Don't mind if they are French owned! My parents have recently bought a place in the area and I'm looking to do a week of fishing with a couple of mates whilst the girlfriends stop at my folks place, then go and join the girls there for the second week! Any info much appreciated. Ben

Just to add to what binfield said... If you are using two rods... put both on zigs in the middle. If no bite, move one higher and one deeper in the water. Which ever gets the bite, set the other to that hight. Has worked wonders for me recently

I fished Trentham last year. Went for a 24 hour session. Out of 4 of us I was the only one with a run and I lost it in snags! Apparently it is a very snaggy water from what I've been told but I don't have a clue as to stock or size. Didn't even realise you could fish it any more. If your from Newcastle, have you tried Cudmore or Baden Hall? There is also a lake near Tunstall that is council owned so you can fish it for free. That has definitely got a 30+ in there as I saw my mate catch it after targetting it for 6 months!!

Ah, not a carp lake then. Probably give that a miss then. Still would like to know where it is as can have a crack at pb bream when I'm bored one day! Ben

Never heard about the place and I lived in Yarnfield for 20+ years, so been to Eccleshall plenty of times! Where abouts is it? May have to check it out soon as I'm only in Stafford now. Ben

Has anyone fished the specimen lake recently? If so, any idea on how it is fishing as looking to do a night session there possibly on Fri. Any info on how its fishing and any preferable tactics for there would be much appreciated.

Are you fishing the new carp lake transporter or the middle lake? I'd definitely recommend middle lake unless you're willing to pay £30 for the possiblity of catching the bigger specimens. I fished 6 or 7 weekend sessions (there's only one a month!) last year on the middle pool with lots of success. Think most fish I caught was 15 over 2 days- biggest was 14lb. Although this was nothing compared to one guy who caught 50+ fish every session (biggest was 19lb that I knew of)! Since then I've spoken to said guy and know specific tactics for fishing the pool with great results, so pm me if you want any details about fishing that lake! Ben
