hello all...i will be fishing the mirror pool myself in june. I was just wondering if you could help. Im thinking of taking plenty of sweetcorn and maggots with me,right... but also i was going to take hemp and maize!! I know that i says on the web site no particles but just wanted to know if any one else had taken them and had any problems of the bailiff..cheers..

great info mate cheers. theres 8 of us going this time round, and we;ve prebooked pegs i think they are 8/9 double peg, 10,11, and 16/17double swims round the other side of the lake, none of the jetty swims tho. how strongly would you advise to get a jetty. do you bivvy up on them? ive also heard that there is no bait boats and all rods are cast. is there much water to go at on that peg 11 or is it quite tight? same again mate thanks for your time.have a good trip this time round

fishing castle lakes back end off august, got booked on too peg 11, just wondering if any1 has fished this lake/swim before...any advise wecolme. cheers

fished their last year end of may had a good week. Fished a swim called church point, fished very slow untill wednesday 6 in the morning had lake record at 54lb 10oz mirror, followed by 5 other fish,34lb 4oz, 50lb 6oz, 32lb 1oz, 20lb, 20lb 12oz. All fish came off the same rod fished on to the island under the trees, with popped up corn and a boat load of the bailiffs maize and hemp mix. Highly recommended. Had a lot of problems with the weed tho, very thick around all the swims and on the web site it dosent mension that you can only fish 3 quaters of the lake. good luck
