  1. Totally depends on what rig you are using and what you want to achieve, most people have it so it has a slight curve.
  2. I always use them mate and never had a single problem with them.
  3. Esp strip teaze buddy.
  4. esp strip teaze mate. Although the supple part turns white.
  5. Mate if you haven't brought the solar one yet don't bother as a wine cork is perfect.
  6. If it's gravel you are fishing on I would use a 2oz inline lead, 3 or 4 inch of strip teaze, with a Raptor size 7 hook. Don't think there is a right or wrong answer to this question tho mate, just trial and error to see what works best for you on that water.
  7. I don't use braid for my pop ups. In fact this year I have only used 3 hook link materials. Esp stripteaze, korda IQ soft, and drennen double strength for my zigs and floater fishing.
  8. Oh yeah you need to strip a few inches of the outer coating off, use your teeth. Strip it back enough to make a hair, whip round the shank of the hook 6 or so times, and leave a little bit left so the hook can turn nicely. If that makes sense. lol
  9. We have all got to start some where mate. Go to your tackle shop and pick up some esp strip teaze, I use 15lb in green. It takes on the colour of the lake bed mate, and blends in nice. I use a nice size 7 esp rapto D7 hook with it make. Pukka combo.
  10. So you are using fluorocarbon at the moment and want to give braid a try? Why don't you try a fluorocarbon coated braid such as esp stripteaze
  11. I use 6 foot usually and I join it to the main line with a needle knot.
  12. Or if you are not sure try the new esp leadcore rigs, they are quality and not to pricey either.

    best hooklenth

Thats impossible to answer mate. If you are fishing on gravel you can get away with useing a short hook link, but if you are fishing say over silt you will need a longer hooklink.
  14. I've done it I've finaly found a hook I'm 100% happy with. I've tried so many differant hooks on the market and most just have not been up to scratch, untill now. ESP RAPTOR D-7. Belive me these hooks are quality, I'm well happy with them.

    rig tubeing

I know what you mean it is very frustrating, if you'r allowed to use leadcore on you'r water I would use that.
  16. ESP Raptor D-7 Get on these hooks they are the muts nuts, trust me.
  17. ESP D-7 hooks, quality hooks. Allso Carp R US hooks are good. Try the carp r us 360 for your pop ups.

    Trilene

Does anyonre use Berkley Trilene for there hook link while using zigs? What do you think? I've been using Korda IQ, but gets a bit expensive as I'm nailing them in 7 foot of water.
  20. I was using esp strip teaz today, and that allso done that. I have to agree with you on the mantis gold tho, quality hook link.
  21. Black Stealth looks a good one for silt, although I've not used it as yet.
  22. Mate your best bet would be to buy a Helicopter rig pack from your tackle shop. Solar do a good pack which is cheap, well it is compared to the korda pack. lol
  23. If I fished the above rig with a pop up will that turn it into a chod rig? I guess if I'm fishing on top of weed I just move the bead further up. Is this right?
  24. Just make sure you use a bit of rig foam on your hook.

How long do pop ups stay bouyant for if you put them on a hair using a baiting needle? I'm using the Frank warrick ones at the moment.
