  1. Morning Lads, Purkis, how you doing? Snake-Bite the ultimate!! ?? Sorry mate, but it's like old rope, the new generation of hooklinks Stealth etc are far thinner, have more knot strength and abrasion resistance and are better coloured - not all shiny like the bite! Yes the Scorpion is a bit different - I had this hooklink idea manufactured 3+ years ago, but decided NOT to market it, that may have been a mistake! Ronnie Buss has / had all of the samples as he loved it. Just wait though until you see the new hooklinks that I've got coming out towards the end of the year (theres a sneak preview in this weeks Anglers Mail) it's taking hooklinks to the next level - again! 2. Yep both those methods work, or just stretch it. Pull it hard though to take out the memory. Cash
  3. The best fluorocarbon is pure fluorocarbon. The way to check this is to burn the tag end. If it goes jet black then it's pure and won't let you down (providing you use the correct knots etc) If it burn any other colour then it's not pure and is mixed with other chemicals which can make it brittle. Cash
  4. Buy fluorocarbon by the spool not pre-tied. You can fuse it, but I wouldn't recommend it. Palomar and figure of 8 loop knots are the only knots I use for fluoro leaders. Cash
  5. I use 6mm Gold Label rubber beads and pierce / slide them onto the leader sideways - will always pull over the knot. The kont of the loop probably wouldn't pull through a clip, best to use a different knot when using a lead clip. Cash
  6. It's very rare that I use lead-clips. I prefer either running leads or helicopter set-ups. If using a clip, you must make sure that the leads comes away easy and that the clip can release the swivel also. Cash
  7. Oh but it does Steve hence why I use it and have published this set-up many times. The rubber bead easily passes over the leader knot - it's one of the safest ways of using a leader. I also find that fluorocarbon is far more effective than leadcore, not for everyone I agree but it's an edge. Cash
