  1. Im the same i use nash fang x size 7 hooks and the new wychwood coated braid its really nice stuff. Tie the loop as nick suggested and pop your bait on. The only thing different i do is thread a small peice off silicone tubing onto the hookling material then thread my hook through this carefully so that it sits opposite the barb of the hook on the top of the hook. This just ensures that the bait cant tangle round the hook on the cast. Then finish with shrink tube as nick said. I do the same with my pop up rig but i really put an aggresive angle on my shrink tubing, i bend it to 90 degrees off the hook, this is just my personal preference for my water however. PS, i tend to favour short hooklinks, i rarely fish anything over 6 inches. Tight lines mate hope you got that, if not i will try and post a picture of how to do it, jus let me no:)

    All rounders

Got to go with salokcinnodrog here. Nash fang x size 7 line aligned knotless not and a touch of silicone tubing on the bend of the hook to stop the hair tangling. Also for my popped up rigs recently i have been really exagerating the line aligner bending it to 90 degrees which has give me some really nice hook holds on wary fish.
  3. couldnt agree more adam - nash fang x size 7 all the way for me:D

    silt

use a longer hooklink as short ones can often dissapear into the silt with the lead. Try and use a flat lead as these tend to slow down more on impact with the water which helps to keep it abobe the silt. Use pva nuggets to help slow the baits falling rate after the lead hits the bottom, this will help your bait to rest on the silt. Try pop ups and bright baits to again aid the visibility of your bait. Tight lines mate. You can also try using solid pva bags and put your whole rig inside it this again helps to keep your bait above the silt as it lands slower on the botom with a larger surface area tight lines
  6. congratulations mate, well done
  7. yeah vitalin works really well and when the fish feed over it it clouds the water making it harder for them to detect your rigs. I would fish it the same way as sugested recasting every 20 mins for starters. Another way to do it as this recasting may spook fish is to get there the day before if you can and put a bed of bait down then return the next day to fish over it hoping the fish will already be on the bait. If you try this dont recast too much maybe every 45 mins just to top up thebait a little Tight lines.
  8. Been using camo skin all year and its been fantastic, if not that just a flurocarbon hooklink when in clear waters. tight lines all:)
