    It's just for the ease of transportation and I'll mainly be using these on canals so won't have to cast far.

    These are going to be used on quite demanding venues across Europe so I'm after something a bit heavy than my usual setup.

    Just wondering when you would use one or the other? If you were using a stiffer hooklength material like fluoro would it be better to use a ring swivel and allow the hooklength to hinge?

    I currently just use semi-stiff coated braid straight through however I've been looking at the combi rig which uses the stiff fluoro and then a few cm of stripped braid at the end. When would you and when wouldn't you want to use the fluoro as opposed to the coated braid?
