[Is spodding two spots With different mixes at the same time a good way to tell which is best?]

I plan on fishing two separate spots on the same peg with different spod mixes to see what catches more fish. Anyone had any experience with this? Would it mess up my swim?

I’ve been looking at Barston lake online as it’s not too far from where I live. However I can’t find much about the place. Do any of you guys have and suggestions or experience there? Is it hard fishing or a runs water?
