  1. Another question for you guys - do rods generally become softer as you use them? E.g lose their casting capabilities? I've not done much fishing with carp rods, but I can't say I've noticed this for my feeder rod.
  2. Thanks, mate! That makes sense I was thinking the same - I'd probably have to use at least 4-5 oz leads with the 3.75lb rods and that's just not going to be the case over here on 9.5/10 waters.
  3. Hi mates! I'm looking to purchase some new rods. I recently got 3x Daiwa Whisker 12 ft 3 lbs for short to medium work, but I'm also looking at a stiffer set of rods. I am torn between a few choices: 3x Daiwa Longbow DF X45 in 3,5 or 3,75 - has anyone owned these and what is the difference in PVA BAG casting or casting distance as a whole? Is there a big difference generally between the two? 3x Daiwa Infinity DF (non X45) in 3,75. Would these be better in general than the Longbows? How much does the X45 really help? Is it overhyped? Any experiences are welcome!
  4. Hi Kev, Thanks for your reply. Generally I'm such a guy that I'd rather spend an extra quid and fish with proper bait. I'm assuming that since they're Nash they're not too bad, but I'm an inexperienced boilie angler and wanted to know if there is such a thing as a counterproductive one.
  5. Hi guys, I'm looking to carp fish a river I've been visiting for a long time (probalby 18 years now) but never caught a carp off of it. I plan on pre-baiting/feeding a variety of baits. Boilies have never been used there, but I was interested in still introducing some to my mix which I planned on being mainly sweetcorn, hemp, some tigers, a bit of pellet and a bit of boilies. Just to tick every box. I saw these boilies by Nash and was amazed at the price - probably like 25 euro for 5 kilos which is cheap as heck. Are they any good or should I spend my money elsewhere? They'd only be used crushed/cut up in a spod mix or something similar and my hookbaits would be either fake pop up corn by ESP or pop ups by Mainline/Rod Hutchinson but still wanted to seek out your opinions. Thanks a ton!
  6. Hi guys, is there a way to preserve boiled hemp/tigers without freezing them? Sort of like the ready mixes mainline offer. Cheers
