ive been tool about this pool in shifnal behind the serves just off the m54 has any one got any tips on bait or which pegs would be best. thanks for your time tight lines chris

the lake is 'Bayliss'' three lakes. the carp lake is the one with the island in. i used to fish this place from 1995 to 2004. i now only go once or twice a year. there's a very good head of 20's in there and rumors of a few 30's though i've never seen one.

 

you will here alot of bad press about the lake about litter, rats and noisy anglers. however the last twelve months have seen a huge improvement.

 

if you want to fish it then i'd recomend

. avoiding weekends (bivvy city)

. fish 2 rods in the margins and 1 on the island (all but 1 of my big fish have come from the margin)

. use low vis fishmeal baits. no particles, stick mix or ground bait (you'll get bream after bream)

. use little bait ( i use a 6 boilie stringer)

.back leads

. when you drive to the lake. fish the oposite side to the entrance.

Where do you buy tickets from for the venue and can you night fish it ??

you can night fish. there are not any rules for this place. buy tickets from the bayliff that drives round. about £15 for 24 hr.

 

i wouldn't recomend it this time of year. it gets muddy
