super_jenks Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 Hey guys (and girls!), Does anyone know of any good sport fishing venues in Kent? Somewhere where the catch rate is high and provides a novice angler like me with some experience of playing carp? It's quite hard to find a water which suits my needs, as most of the fisheries near and around Maidstone are designed for experienced anglers looking to catch specimen fish. Kind Regards, Sam Quote
chunkiesgreat Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 hi mate, There are a few around, Monks lakes, Elphicks lakes and orchard place farm down in paddock wood to name only a few. It depends on how far you are willing to travel as well. but those three would suit your needs. You could phone up the local ea office and they do a book on where to fish in the county so that would be a good starting point or go into one of the tackle shops around maybe maidstone tackle. if you want any futher info google is your friend or i will try to help. bigvic Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 Try Horsham Lake in Rainham (Kent) carp from 5 - 12lb all day long @£7 for one rod and £10 for two (stick with one rod or you wont get to sit down) Quote
charlieg Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 Hi fella, go to elphicks and get on either prairie lake or kettles. Quote
