logfish Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 I have jsut started fishing Wellington lake at Kingsbridge in Dorset. Did a 4 hour stint the other evening and had no luck. I know it was only a short fish, but not even a nibble. I was fishing boilies and groundbait and corn baited up a swin quite alot but still nothing. Anyone got any tips? Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 I don't know the lake but what were other anglers using? Did you study the lake for fish movements or try to find out fish patrol routes? If I'm starting on an unknown lake, I would tend to use a smallish bait with minimal freebies (pva bag or something) to get the fish competing for food. Sometimes on a quick session you may be better off to fish a couple of pieces of maize on the hair (plus a bit of pop up) over the groundbait. Stick 'Knightsbridge' into the search & click on 'all terms' cause there are a few threads which may help you Quote
