courtz
i use the grinner for most of my knots apart from attatching leadcore. works well with braid, mono and flourocarbon. when i've tested knots with an old pair of scales i fisnd the grinner to be the strongest by far. tight lines courtz

mick1396
As long as all the loops bed down neat and tidy it`ll be fine.

Guest Anonymous
Palomar is a great knot, very easy to tie once you've sussed out the pictures;) :D
mick1396
The easiest way to describe it is to form a loop, pass that thru the eye of the hook/swivel,tie a granny knot, the before you pull it tight, pass the hook back thru the loop, then slowly pull tight making sure all the coils seat themselves neatly, obviously as with all knots moisten the line. sandancer
When you tie a grinner I prefer to go through the eye of the swivel twice , pull this thight before tying the rest of the knot.

It also odesn't coil the line as much from where you've tightened the knot cheres tight lines courtz
sandancer
If line is coiling when you tighten knots you are probably not lubricating them enough, also do not try and tighten too quickly , ensure coils bed down tidily and pull knot together slowly. I always wet the knots with saliva, it's probably because the line i use for zig hooklengths are fine diameter, prestretched monos(drennan double strength) tight lines courtz

sandancer
I use dreenan double strength myself for floater work and hooklink in winter never had a problem with coiling, maybe my saliva is more slick:D Just practice the knot a few times , take time tightening as I said before and lube liberally...... ooh err !!!!!
