icemaster Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 Hi Chaz Off the top of my head, Raker lakes in York, Fairview in Selby or Selby 3 lakes (part syndi) Quote
chaz81 Posted January 29, 2009 Author Report Posted January 29, 2009 hi.thanks for that mate. what would be your preference?ive fished raker before, its a very pressured water isnt it. which of the selby lakes would you choose?thanks alot, steve Quote
icemaster Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 Hi Mate Can't really tell you, never fished it and since it has become part syndi and part day ticket don't know which parts of the original 3 lakes are which. Fairview is a lovely venue but very hard to get onto as they only allow 5 anglers at a time (i think) and there are a crowd of regulars who will book up for weeks/months in advance. How far are you prepared to travel? There is Emmotland near Driffield, pond 1 is very hard but has the biggest fish, pond 2 is worth a crack. Have a look at some of these http://www.yorkshirefishing.net/content.php?article.226 http://www.yorkshirenet.co.uk/stayat/graftonmere/lakes.htm https://forum.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=15730&highlight=harrogate Quote
