revs
Hello Jogon Alder Hills has some amazing fish in it all old stock originals, they are old fish that have grown on in a very deep old clay working. They go to about 30ish pounds, and it also holds some amazing big ornamentals that presumably people have added over the years. The trouble with Alders as with Rockley lake is the fact it is a free water without proper bailiffs and rules hence the fact they both get totally abused by all manner of people. I took a walk around in the spring and I have never seen so many shopping trolleys and general rubbish. I have had some nice fish out of there but it is not an easy water to fish as it is so deep (27 ish feet in the middle !). Personally I would not bother fishing there in the water as I have fished there in the winter and it is very hard work. I dont know about the pike so cannot comment.
