TrevBrand Posted October 5, 2016 Report Share Posted October 5, 2016 Hi there We are planning a holiday to Austria next July - can anyone give me an insight to the best area to go to where I can fish for 2 or 3 days on day ticket. At the moment Zell em See and Villach have been mentioned to me but I am concerned that the fishing rights around Zell em See are all linked to a hotel chain, whereas we will be looking for a self catering place to stay. Does anyone have first hand experience of these two areas or the Tyrol/western half of Austria in general with advise on where to fish (coarse not fly). Spent a lot of time in the south of France this year trying to find somewhere suitable to fish near Marseille, not very successfully, so want to sort this out before we book accommodation in Austria.
