common carp
Hi all, Does anybody know much about the pools this club own. I'm thinking of joining as it aint far for me to travel. I only get to go out once a month so any good tips you could offer would be much appreciated. Thanks.
christian97
A very good well run club but not a carp club as such and no night fishing other than a small number of night tickets. They have three well stocked waters and the other has the bigger fish but all are mixed fisheries.
matt_89
Definitely worth the money, as soon as I move back over that way in the next month it will be the first place I go. I've fished it on and off for the last 16 years but haven't been a member for a couple of years due to living in Coventry so can't give you much in the way of tips yet. winnywood
Excellent value £50 a yr for 2 rods. Carp upto 24lb 4 lakes to choose from. They recently stocked 6 carp over 20lb and were all microchiped see website for details. Turf pool is very popular and is a bit overfished I think. Calfheath is a mixed lake with carp and lots of bream. Not fished the other two. But if your looking for a water to call your local to go for the short spells or odd weekend then its a good buy. Oh and you need a key for turf and Kingswood £4 when you buy your ticket. if it aint broke.. take it apart... it soon will be!
