carpcatcher22
Heys guys I'm just starting back to carp and many of my mates have given up the sport don't know why to be honest! I'm looking for a someone or a group to go fishing with in the South Wales area! Really wanting to get back to the sport as enjoyed very much before I went to sea fishing! adders60
Go fishing on your own, you will fish better !
carpcatcher22
I don't mind fishing on my own sometimes! Sometimes it's nice to have a chat to other anglers learn new things as I'm just getting back to the sport and have a lot to learn!
adders60
I understand, I too fish on my own but always chat to others for tips etc  Some I ignore as tips others I use to my advantage  I think carp fishing lends itself to going with a buddy as there is a lot of waiting time, however when fishing with a buddy you tend to 1. stay put in the same swims 2. choose swims together so you can chat 3. less focus on the fishing 4. less watching the water and moving  My advice learn as much as you can about the right way and then do your own thing as to be different as long as safe to the fish  Remember its fishing not camping
carpcatcher22
I can't stay in one place for 2 long haha I tend to walk round and look for the fish instead of waiting for them to come to me as you might be there for days as many angler my know! I see where I coming from as I've done it a couple of times but was only there for a few hours so stayed in the same spot!
frogy
I must admit what ever type of fishing I do I do prefer to fish with a buddy or 2 although sometimes go on my own, as has been said I learn a lot from my mates but also enjoy the social side of fishing and the banter
