brighton_carper Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 Might be having a crack at it a a couple of weeks time? Anyone know anything about it? Where to fish, hints, tips etc? 198 acres is a little daunting. Quote
coughtreycarper Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 Ardingly is a great water and a lovely place to spend the day, untill june anyway when the water begins to receed and the whole place becomes a mudbath, the causeway is a favourite spot as is the bird hut, however this is one hell of a walk, the carp dont give themself up and pre baiting is a good idea if you have the time, big baits to stay away from the vast amounts of bream aswell. Anyway good luck!! Quote
brighton_carper Posted November 7, 2011 Author Report Posted November 7, 2011 Thanks mate. Sounds like a place you'd have to have a bit of a campaign at rather than just giving it a one off go. Any idea how big the carp go in there? Quote
pompeydan27 Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 hi, have you fished this venue yet, i will be taking a look at the place over the next month for some pike fishing...but will be planning to try to get in amongst the carp in a few months time Quote
brighton_carper Posted December 20, 2011 Author Report Posted December 20, 2011 Didn't go in the end. Went up there to have a look and maybe do a bit of pre-baiting but found the water level so low that it put me off. It must have been 6ft below it's normal level. Might be better now after all the rain we've had. Definitely want to have a crack at it when the levels are back up. Let me know how you get on. Quote
