steveden Posted June 3, 2011 Author Report Posted June 3, 2011 Hi bish , yes it is a day ticket water and costs £5 , here is some info i found on the venue . An extensive stocking of carp and bream into the Caerphilly castle lakes has recently been completed by the club at the start of this new season. 600lb of bream averaging 2.5lb were introduced to the north lake. A smaller stocking of leney strain carp supplied by VS fisheries were also introduced into the north lake weighing up to 18lb. This is to hopefully ensure good angling on the lakes for years to come, with many of the original stock of carp ageing. In light of this the castle will be routinely bailiffed this season. With an emphasis on fish care, the club has taken the decision to ban the use of leadcore leaders, rig checks will be carried out. Please respect the fish and take care whilst unhooking, a suitable unhooking mat being essential. Junior members are reminded to only fish the inside north bank when supervised by a senior member. No night fishing is permitted. Looks a gr8 lake from aerial view Quote
