Bakers Pond Newport

Hi all,

Just a quick question; am looking at fishing bakers pond this coming sunday(15th ) and was wondering if anyone has fished there before for the carp, particularly of the top?

Have never fished the place and want somewhere to go for the day,any help would be greatly appreciated

If its sunny then off the top is a def or long zig, its up to 16ft in the centre. There are loads of carp in there so double figures should be easy (weather depending)

Thanks for the info, have tried contacting them for ticket prices etc, but line was discontinued, am intending on floater fishing/stalking cant wait, although the forecast looks a bit dodgy. fingers crossed,

£4 for the first rod and then £1 per extra rod. It tends to get busy at the weekends so you probably won't be able to just walk around stalking, if you want that you're better going during the week.

Thanks again, if its really busy may leave till weekday, do have another water to try, looks really good, not the easiest but some real lumps, its called marshland fishery at barton upon humber, 20 acres and if bakers is busy, it may be the place to enable me to fish a few spots. Will give bakers a call either way as really want to fish there first if i can, thanks again m8
