Bait boat to margins with small amounts of boilies CC Moores XXX was the superior bait throughout the week but Mainline was also catching Were the facilities what you expected? Yes...Small but perfectly formed Were you happy with them? Yes..Very clean and everything working efficiently Would you recommend our venue to a friend? Yes General comments: Mixed weather affected the fishing at times but overall very good sport.Only downside of the week the Sturgeon ..Thankyou to our hosts for a wonderful week also a big thanks to Marc for putting us on to the fish by revealing his secret little spot! Rick: Best to use a boat, enables you to find the feature and put down a decent bed of free feed along with your hookbait, Lake mix/ pellet and Mainlines New Grange, Fuzion and Cell boilies with Response Pellets, Colin Essential to find the features and keep the line pinned down as the Carp spook off as soon as they feel a line. Plenty of lake mix particle / pellet with Mainline Cell boilies, CC Moore Odyssey XXX and Live System boilies from Marc Were the facilities what you expected? Yes, definitely will do General comments Very up and down weather wise making it a hard week but didn’t stop us catching. Nice to get out of the rain in the cabin.The updates to the lake are nice. Fished close to the pads and margins feeding little and regular with the bait boat pop up corn tipped monster worm or odyssey xxx over a bed of lake mix Were the facilities what you expected? Lake mix bed with Corn/Maize and fake Maize on the hook Marc The guys did try black boilies from shoreham bait and did not get a knock on them we are seeing the darker bait not doing so well at the min Were the facilities what you expected? Total weight of 290.1lb Neil reset his PB three times this week joining our 30 club at 31.12lbs also a new PB Sturgeon at 27.4lbs Marc Tuff week for Neil with some spawning going on but this did not stop him landing 19 fish just fishing days.. see you guys back in July What did you find were the best tactics/baits? Target the margins with Sweetcorn or maize over lake mix. Odyssey XXX took most of the better fish with fake corn or pineapple pop-up fished ‘Snowman’ style Were the facilities what you expected? Caught many for the keep net but that is positive to get them out. Marc(We did net this Jan to remove fish under 10lb but some do slip the nets so if and when there banked they go in the keep net and on to our stock pond off site) (With 610.7lbs of fish..it was a slower week for the guys with no big lumps out..this was the damage for their week..37 fish..2 sturgeon..2 tench..11 mirrors..22 commons Lorraine banked 11 fish with (2) 20's the best at 24lb and a total of 145.3lbs Damian netted 26 fish with (11) 20's and his best a 31.1lbs mirror for the fish of the week with a total of 465.4lbs we hope to see you guy's on our banks again one day.."you have some unfinished business.") Damian Lorraine What did you find were the best tactics/baits? Little and often with mixed particles and boilies popped up worked well (yellow) Boilie tipped with corn. Marc (Damians home made boilies (darker reds) worked well for him.. but so far this year we are seeing dark baits are slowing the catch rate down some) Were the facilities what you expected? The facilities were more than we expected, 3 pin plug sockets, hanging area for clothes, washing line, TV and entertainment and a lovely welcome pack Were you happy with them? We were both very happy with the standard and the attention to detail has paid off Would you recommend our venue to a friend? Definitely Thank you to you all for making us welcome General comments: A little disappointed to catch so many of the smaller fish but we still had a great time to relax and catch our breath from the rat race. A few bigger fish and its “Paradise Found” We also want to thank Marc for doing everything he could to help us and not even making us feel a pain in the neck, even when we called him out at stupid o’clock. Jurgen is a mad Sturgeon, if you catch him say hello for us, we catch him 4 times. Marc (Their total was 93 fish = 515kg-1134lbs with 32 fish in the mid 20's and 13 fish over 13-15kg-28.6-33lbs the best a 16kg-35.2lbs Mirror) Frans with 44=243.8kg-536.4lbs Frank with 49=271.8kg-598lbs What did you find were the best tactics/baits? Sweetcorn and fake pop up corn, baitboat find some nice gravel plates. Were the facilities what you expected? Yes, only we need a walking freezer. (reference to a Dutch tv beer advert) Were you happy with them? Yes we’ve booked to come back again in August. Would you recommend our venue to a friend? Nee, we want to buy it and never work again, it’s really great General comments: We have a very nice time here, and we back in August! In Holland we need a cook like Nikki, it’s very good stuff. We ask Marc if he wants a change of woman but he won’t, we understand that. Everybody is nice and Nikki best cook! If there is anything you want you get it here! Nice see you all again in August (the guys also loved the free photo cd and the Champagne Fish of the week at La Petite This went to top rod Frank at 16 kgs and also a bottle of bubbly for Frans with the 1st time netting of our grass carp Customer Report Week No 1 Name of customer: Peter & Patrick Nationality Dutch Date of holiday: 9th - 14th April 2011 No. of persons fishing: 2 Brief details of your catches: Total of 46 fish, 5 x Tench, 1 x Pike, 19 x Mirrors, 21 x Commons, 284.5 Kgs of fish in six days Commons 1-5Kgs = 10 off, 6-10Kgs = 7 off, 11– 12Kgs 2off and 1 at 15Kgs; Mirrors 1-5Kgs = 7 off, 6-10Kgs = 4 off, 11-12Kgs = 3 off, 13-15Kgs = 3 off over 15Kgs 2 off with largest at 19Kgs. We only fished for 6 days and mostly just in the day with 5 rods the days was nice and hot but the nights was a little cold so we only fished two nights PETER PATRICK What did you find were the best tactics/baits? Short hook links, home made fishmeal boilies, pineapple pop ups, pre-drilled marine halibut pellets (for bigger fish) When using float rod, sweet corn. Were the facilities what you expected? Yes, even had good lights for the night on swims powered by the sunshine. Were you happy with them? Yes, breakfast and dinner were also very good, compliments to the chef. Would you recommend our venue to a friend? No because it will be harder to book to come back again but we will certainly tell them all about it. General comments: We were very pleased with the hospitality of you all, thanks Marc for your service and good spirit, we did find the cabin a bit cold on the colder nights though.
