muscle20 Posted August 8, 2010 Report Share Posted August 8, 2010 anyone fished this.cheap yearly ticket and reported carp to 25lb but nothing much coming out so far this season .not many fishing it so not pressured but very open to poaching is my thoughts. thebigbadperch Posted September 12, 2011 Report Share Posted September 12, 2011 Hi, ive been a member down Lightwater for 3 years now and the biggest carp ive had out of there was just pushing 22lb. I was told that the lake was netted a few years ago to remove the pike and they put back all the carp all averaging 12-18lb and a big common which they weighed in at 24lb (which could be the 22lber i had). The carp are rarely targeted as there a very few in there 15-25 if that and they are very difficult to catch. Anyway good little challenge and every fish ive caught from there are mint! muscle20 Posted September 12, 2011 Author Report Share Posted September 12, 2011 didnt rejoin this year but may have a go next year. spent a lot of time with little reward. too many dogs and poachers with no permits for me. also swims were not very well kept with one side (where the sun is) overrun with lillies. i know a couple of fish got lost to the frost according to the balliff. do you fish windlesham also.
