  1. Maybe a bit late for a reply but we will see. We fished Brocard Small last June, 2016, in swim 4. We had booked swim 3 but it looked very damp in there due to the crap weather plus the car had to be left up near the toilet/shower block so when we got offered swim 4 we took it. We had a good look round. Swim 1 is very shallow. When the sun comes out there are fish down there but not sure if it is cooler. Swim 2 is a very popular swim and has been improved over the last year or two. Long casting is very useful or a bait boat and plenty of batteries if not. We are looking at 100-140 yards and the far side is the hot area. This is the same with swim 3. A 100 yard cast will get you right across here. Again the fish are near the far bank. The far bank has lots of snags so if you get too close your chances of lanfing anything is not good. Swim 4 has a huge amount of water in front of it. Fish showed down both sides but we only got bites from down the middle. We found the further down the lake we cast the more bites we got. Wherever you fish do be wary of the catfish. We both lost one each and we only landed a baby at 60lb. Mine took over 100 yards of line of me before finding a snag so if you hook one try and get on top of it quick as they are very big and very powerful. The carp appear to average high 20's/low 30's but there are many 40's and 50's. I don't think it is a bagging water but you should catch. The bailiffs are brilliant, the shower and toilet are clean and good. The venue is beautiful and you will see all sorts of birds and mammals that you won't see over here. We loved it and are going back for more.
