use some silicone tubing mate, but make sure the bead can still pass over it with slight presure incase of a break off

u could try just tying the hook on with a whipping knot, knotless knot but obv dont have the hair coming off it. trim it down. and tie your hair to your hookshank
using very fine supple braid or light mono. try it at different positions on the shank ,ie oposite the point, on the bend etc. n see how it goes see which gets better hook holds -
usually switch to something like a 10lb double strengtrh hooklink on me local in winter when it is hard. or other times when im struggling for a bite.

i dont quite understand mate? if your tying your own rigs up and want to see ow they look in water just put your bait on and test in a tank /tub/sink of water or the margins on the lake.

looks a canny rig mate, myt give it a go on the water im fishing at the min which has quite a lot of silkweed.

good video bill cheers, ive used the solid bags on a few ocasions and cant get them tite enough and sometimes as youve said ive casted and they have flew off in the other direction. thus why i stick with my little pva sticks slid down my hook link. i will give the solid bags another go now. cheers

do you have a pic if the finished rig? ie tied on to the chod swivel and the hooklink curved.
does the tubing still let the curve from the stiff filament carry on to the hook or does it straighten our where the tubing is?
