  1. None of the others make it sit that way. Just when using that. I dont know whether it could be shot that is making the hooklink twist im not sure just going to have to play around with it i think.

Would it matter in hooking potential??

  2. Hi All,

First of all i dont usually post articles or ask questions on here so go easy!

Recently i have been experienceing problems with my pop up rigs. I use a standard Knotless Knot, wide gape hook, bit of silicone on the bend and some shrink tubing. i also add a small shot just below the tubing to counter balance.

I have noticed that when testing, the hook point seems to be pointing towards my lead (hope that makes sense). So instead of it kicking away from the lead it points to the lead. So in essence making the rig useless. In other words it twists around.

I am actually tying a rig with the new snails and it also happens with the sweetcorn and boilies aswell when making rigs.

Can anyone shed a bit of light on this for me to help solve this problem.

    Thanks

    Martin

  3. Yeah well i were getting picks ups but nothing concrete to hit any (it might have been the feathered friends).

It is a cracking fishery and defo one that ill be going back to. Let me know when your going and i may see you on the bank. Kinda need someone to go fishing with since my dad doesnt go anymore as he is at work most times at weekend. i go with the girlfriend but she is a wuss and doesnt like the cold!!!!

  4. Yeah Nath give us a PM when your next up this way and ill see what my diary has in store for me and meet ya there no probs!!!

Thanks guys for the info on pendle i was going to give it a go but not now i suppose you got to go with the comment 'dont knock it until youve tried it' but its put me off big style.

I may go to that cockerham fisheries just up the road from little wyreside, borwick fisheries looks pretty good and Heywood fisheries.

  5. Id just like to say that apart from blanking, taking a trip to blackpool a&e and being wet all weekend this is a very good fishery and even though on the 2nd night i did not put alot of effort in as i could not use my right hand i really enjoyed my 2 nights here.

There are fish to be caught. Infact i netted a nice mirror from a guy next to me weighing in at 20lb. the owners are so helpfull and the faciltities made the wet conditions seem like nothing.

I will definately be back again when i have time away from uni and got a bit more money as i am revamping my gear.

This is definately going to be one of my regulars.

  6. Hi

Korda leaders are they worth the money or is there something else out there that is just as good especially with someone who has a tight budget? At 5 quid a leaders it can be quite dear especially with 3 rods and 4 different types.

  8. Hi Everyone

I usually go to wyreisde fisheries (st michaels) but i was wondering if anyone could give me a couple of places to fish in lancashire because i fancy a change this year. i want one that is a nice place with night fishing. there are loads round here but its just picking which one !!!

    cheers

  9. well i used alot of groundbait, maize, hemp over a high viz pop-up in the middle. to be fair though when i went the over guy did nit have anything all night but the night before he had two 20lbers so cant quite undertstand that one. cud have been abttered before me so ....... that was on peg 10 and it was back in october i usually just leave ma stuff to collect dust in the winter haha.

i fished more or less to the banking on peg 10 then out in mid water with a fusion bollie on its own with groundbait etc in the middle. it was end of october and not many people were catching so to be fair that might of been it really. ill probz use same bait etc this time around as it is getting warmer so might introduce some oily baits.

  10. cheers mate ill try that ... hope peg 6 free though sounds good that im going midweeek after easter monday neways so should b fine. if it aint free would it still be possible to try and intercept them whent here moving back into open water from my peg or not? see ive been there 2 time now and once on peg 4 once on peg 10. erm zigs through night or bottom at night? cheers bud big help alll that. tight lines
