Cheers Saddler. It is Springslade should ave put the one on the A34 in the first place. Yes its a nice looking pool, used to have a lot of big bream topping in the middle in the summer months, and some nice tench too. Havent a clue on the level of carp sizes or population, but heard there are some decent ones in it.But that was twenty years ago! Thanks for the info, maybe its worth a go!

Does anybody have any info on a lake called Springslade or Hazelslade on the Cannock Road between Cannock and Stafford? Fished there 20 years ago when it was a syndicate water with a mate was very deep with good sized carp and bream. Any info appreciated or any other decent carp waters on a yearly membership in stafford area?Cheers.

Ive been looking around for different places in Stafford area on a season ticket basis that includes night fishing. Have been to look at Fisherwick a couple of times recently, never fished it, but cant seem to find many good reports. Anybody out there with any info good or bad???

Fishing has been excellent on the match lake since being combined with specimen lake a couple of years ago. Lots of quality fish coming out on less pressured days. especially in the margins and from suface. Best of 26lb 8ooz mirror this summer, and my son had a unmarked common of 20lb 10oz off the top! This lake rarely has matches on it and is ideal for carp angling or pleasure fishing. One happy season ticket holder!
