m8 to be honest y not check out some of the carp magazines they do tend to give you lots of choices and you and your mates should make the choice togeth and all agree coz if it all goes wrong m8 the last thing you want is it all cumming back on you there are a number of good new lakes available as well as some older more established ones but be warned in some of the older lakes the carp are a lot smarter and a lot wiser in my oponion. i

tony1971 replied to christoph22's topic in Fishing in France
TO BE HONEST M8 I FISH IN FRANCE AT LEAST ONE A MONTH as i bailiff at a complex .i wuold find out if your allowed to use flurocarbon if so i would go down to as low as 12ibs the ultima line is more than capable of landing large fish evan in weedy conditions i have never found to have any problems though i would not ever go out there without the spin doctor amazing bit of kit hope this helps have a great trip -

PEG 2 is open water with a tree line on both sides again close to the huts again ther is a bar on the rhs of the swim cumming up to about 5ft in depth from 7 ft there is a bar sml gravel in front as well to be honest m8 if ya want single pegs lake3 is a good option but also lake2 i would way is my fav but like i say its weedy i will be on your coach on the way out there as your courier if anybody has any questions pls bo feel free to ask me on the day but i would say to use the baits that they have been fed on during the winter months and early season mainline would be my choice like i said in carp talk this week cell or a8 are both good baits all the baits on the fishery come direct from mainline factory and were frehley frozen the pellett is superb and a must as some of the fish are stockies and were bought up on pellett till they went into the lakes

peg one is long chuck to open water there is a bar at about 110 or a large tree to the left at about 100yds peg 10 there are 2 bars in front of you one at about 45yds and the other is about 100 with a weed bar behind it but there is also peg 3 right next to the club house for charging your boat and it aint a bad peg with deeper water in the corner if there is nobody fishing it lake one i would say is going to fish the harder of the 3 but the rewards could be bigger saying that there are 50 s in all lakes the double in lake 4 would be my choice but it could be a bit tight when you have fish on of your not backleaded under the tips but again i love this lake have you seen the reports in carp talk this week on the foreighn pages . however if you want single swims and dont mind the weed try lake 2 there are some masive fish in there that have never been ct i have had 40 s from there in late oct so i think if you know how to fish weed that would be my choice .if you need any more advice pls ask it no prob what date are you going ??

1st im not the owner of crete lakes and secondly if you was to read the thread properly he was a bit concerned about the weather and not catching and sombody else wrote about looking for a diff area to fish all i have done is give advice and just for your oponion i never said at any time the fish wouuld be at there heaviest in march what i said was that as a rule the bigger fish fish tend to feed in the early months this is fact so before you start giving me any obuse may i sugest you read the topic and all the threads leading up to mine all inm trying to do is help and try to put a felow angler on some fish .in the owners own words of the lake he is looking at it will be very cold i.e -5-10 or lower well as you may or maynot be aware that is well below the freezing point of water so pls could you explain to me how he might catch fish on tthe ice ...and the owner is jamie as i said in my post so pls read before you reply in such a mannor many thanks ....TONY....not jamie ....

i understand where you are cumming from m8 there has been stock added to these waters ..though the origional stock are also putting on the ibs i had single scale in june at 32ibs its since been out at 36 8oz this fish is one of the origionals so it seems the origionals are loading on the ibs as well as the stockies as you well know i am sure .if you eat more than you used to it stand to reason the ibs will go on length wise i agree with ya but the depth will be where the ibs go .as this now showing at the lakes .
